i'm so proud

let me introduce my friend Dhanasun Chumchuay
(I call him Dhannasui though I can't remember from what incident it originates)

In my memory he had the darkest sense of humour combined with immeasurable intelligence
a sexy french accent that makes real french people sound dull
a completely forgivable bitchy way of talking
the quirkiest fashion sense and a positively bizarre art style
a really kind heart and a beautiful, beautiful face.

I think this can replace a thousand words:
He is now a part of fashion blogs
and
VOGUE ITALY. yes, VOGUE.

I just want to say that I'm really proud of Dhannasui.
I remember his art back then was more mature than any of ours, and I admire him for nurturing it constantly.
Keep it up Dhannasui. With love, dahling. :) xxx

Pictures from:
and

any volunteers?

does anyone want to pose nude for my figure drawing?

Noise

the bubble made charming noises as they slid down my oesophagus
that lemon stayed quietly in the glass - just whispered a subtle scent into my mouth.
mmm sparkling water.

From Queen Victoria Market

I think this pear wanted to be human.
Probably female.
The chances are, it doesn't know that being human is overrated.

An elegant pear, isn't it?
It's being churned in my stomach at the moment..
Apologies for the gross imagery.

some more photos

photos i've taken and developed.

the dark room at AIC was a room full of
excitement

experimentation
expensive materials
chemical
beeps
red spooky light

disappointment

pre-birthday

why didn't anyone tell me that pre-birthday celebration is this fun??

On Friday my boyfriend's family threw me and his brother-in-law-to-be a party, and today,
today, on a cloudy and cold Sunday,
いづみ visited me with a really warm smile... and pressies!

Chai & English Breakfast tea from T2, and
a glittery & flowery card full of beautiful words. We had English Breakfast with cakes from Brunetti. いづみ's hair is really long now, by the way.

Sticky date pudding with lots of walnuts
& sultana (& something else) cheesecake from Brunetti.
They were wonderfully rich.

Thank you いづみ i had a lovely lovely day xx

Sunday morning

my room is freezing.

big mouthed fish

this fish is on my boyfriend's wall. (i'm not referring to facebook here)
I hope it's still there..? But no pressure.     ..no pressure.

fish on my pants

my pants, my red shoes, and my fish

my shoes looked lonely after the glamour photo shoot.

[Embroidery on a pair of pants...]

Colourful

Embroidery, my very first try.
and of course it's fish.

[Embroidery]

Did i tell you

that i'm obsessed with fish?

I took these photographs at a restaurant in Seoul.
They weren't on the menu. phew.

For a cool breeze.

Spreading her beauty all around

My "beautiful" friend Roberta kindly let me post this portrait that I've done for her.
Congratulations on finishing your final assessment, Robama.

I especially enjoyed working on her eyebrows.

When I was 16

One of my first artworks.
What was the theme, Julie Banana? I can't remember..
I think it was something about discovering myself.
I'm turning 23 soon and I'm still working on the theme.
Still a long way to go.
Exciting.

I think someone's smoking in the courtyard in the rain.

Before they had us...

Found some romantic pictures of younger mum and dad, taken in 1983.

I quite like what mum's wearing! :)

Hello, Boyfriend

on a piece of paper towel,
while waiting for my IELTS speaking test.

left unfinished

I suddenly had the urge to finish this painting.
but it's too late, because I've painted over it and produced a completely different one.

It's too late now.

My favourite scene

from the 5th episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 4
when Meredith rinses her mother's ashes down the sink in an OR prep room with Richard.

"and I think this is where she'd want to be."

dish rack

My high school had a beautiful blue dish rack.
It was always extremely hot when it just came out of the dishwasher.
& I burned my hand once.
But it was worth the pain to see hot steam evaporate around the blue.

imaginary room

Lots of measuring and calculations involved in the process.

Black et White

These are some photographs I took & developed in the dark room 5 years ago.
It was the most comforting thing to do back then.

 [black and white photography]

I should. I should. I should.

[digital photography]
I should really start using my brushes again before they become stiff and disgusting.

Somewhere in Korea

a clever dog left its footprints
