Cafe Daily

Yesterday mum and I went on a day trip to Sangju to see my grandma and then to Kimcheon, where my cousin opened her cafe! We took a bus which took about 3 hours from Seoul.. I slept soundly so very very fortunately I didn't get carsick. or bussick.

My cousin's cafe opened a few months ago but I never had the time to visit.. and finally I got to see most of my relatives and the beautiful cafe!
She planned everything herself from the interior design to the menu, and there were already lots of customers. They loved that she uses the best ingredients. Two thumbs up!

It's called  Cafe Daily

look at these huge muffins... for just 2,500 won!

This is a sort of Pretzel my cousin invented. It's got sweet potato paste in it and it's YUMMY! or you can get the one with red bean paste and cheese, which is the most popular one. I ate both of them and fell in love.

and of course we had two bowls of Pabbingsu.. (apart from the 2 pretzels)
mum ordered coffee too and she absolutely loved it.

My cousin makes her own red bean paste for Pabbingsu.

And there's also a tea room for those who prefer tea!

So yes, any of you visiting Kim-cheon must visit Cafe Daily!

first entry in a whiiiile

I haven't blogged for so long I don't know where to start
so I'm picking a random point and write about my trip to a small cosy cafe near Hongik University (the art uni I mentioned a while ago) called Bamsamkin Byul (밤삼킨별).
I know it's impossible to read it but it means A Star that Swallowed the Night.

Hyeri and I were desperate for a piece of cake, but unfortunately they were out of it..
after a few minutes of depression we were delighted by these cute cupcakes the waiter actually went out and bought for us!

and we ordered Maccha (green tea) affogato! yummmm

after consuming 20 million calories at one go i took a tour of the cafe
