comfortable smell

i painted a light bulb with glass paint
and when i switched on the light there were squares everywhere

after a while i was enveloped in a smell
a smell that was familiar yet mysterious
that's when i saw a stream of brown smoke escaping the light bulb

the paint was burning.
i watched it until the light bulb made an adorable popping sound.
the light disappeared instantly but my eyes felt numb for a full one minute.

box for shiny stuff

a jewellery box i painted for my boyfriend's mum's birthday last year.
i bought too much acrylic paint and now i don't know what to do with them.
not my favourite material for canvas painting.
maybe i should paint another boring wooden thing.
