Just before the year ends

Just a day less than a week left till this year ends..


this year i spent most of the time being stuck in a room night and day with my used-to-be study buddy Hyeri, studying for our graduate school entrance exams.
During the time spent on this preparation these were basically what we did every single day:
1) meet up in the morning (I was usually late. I need my sleep.)
2) translate one or two newspaper articles
3) have lunch (packed lunches)
4) translate another article
5) procrastinate
6) take a nap (this used to apply to me only. My day isn't complete without a siesta. Hyeri used to find it hilarious but it turns out napping is contagious)
7) procrastinate
8) do some listening tasks. TED lectures are our favourite.
9) procrastinate
10) work on interpreting both ways (Korean and English)
11) procrastinate
12) some more interpreting work
13) procrastinate
14) go home.

This usually takes up the whole day.

So you might wonder what we did in those procrastination time?
Well, we made a list of what we're going to do after we finish our exams. The first few months we just left it as a verbal thing, but then the things that repetitively came up actually solidified and became a proper list.
I ticked off quite a lot already, like dying my hair and getting braces (yup. braces.) and getting my driver's license (i need to brag about this in a whole new entry by the way) and getting a new screen print...

but the most exciting thing is this.
Hyeri and I opened a new Etsy shop with our handmade stuff.
This has been on the top of our list for a very very long time. We were so excited and also frustrated for not being able to open one immediately because of our exams.

and hooray, now that we both passed our exam and are officially on holidays, we finally opened our special shop just a few hours ago. Stop blabbing Jae. Here's the link:

I never mentioned it but Hyeri is one dexterous friend and we share the passion for arts and crafts. Hence the shop. (the one with ponytail is Hyeri)

So Hyeri evolved from being my study buddy to a very close friend and a co-shop owner and soon a co-blogger. We're launching our own blog very soon.

Ohhhhhh kay.

I'm going to be irresponsible and say that i'm suddenly extremely sleepy and i'm going to bed now.

I thought this was going to be my looking-back-at-the-year and making-typical-resolution entry but i need my sleep.

So everyone, have a very merry christmas. Hopefully i'll write again before the year really ends.
